Power of Love Love gives a sense of belonging to someone and thus gives comfort and sense of security. Half of the individuals in the sample were in love and having successful relations while the other half had recently gone through broken relationships. However, the individuals with the unsuccessful relations still loved their partners very much. The participants of the research study were given the pictures of their loved ones and brain activities were measured. The measurements gave interesting patterns that explained that the people went through an increment of activity in a specific area in the brain. This area is known to give out dopamine to various parts of the brain. It then increases the energy levels of the body, improving the concentration levels and motivating the individ ual to achieve greater goals in life. This scientific finding provides support for the fact that love tends to motivate the individuals to achieve higher rewards and making their life better, rather than getting busy in negative activities in life. Other than research papers and literature, the world of entertainment has also made many movies on the topic of love. Almost every movie has the aspect of love and the strength that comes from love. The movie Philadelphia was based on the journey of a man who falls ill with AIDS. He gets strength and the motivation from his partner, friends and family to file a suit against a huge organization for firing him upon the news of him falling ill. He does not take up a negative approach in life. He does not even continue to stay depressed for his remaining days. He rather stands tall with the support and love of the people around him and wins the case against his employer. Martin Luther King wrote a famous book with the title, â€Å"Stride tow ard Freedom – The Montgomery Story†. The Cinema Of Short Films Cinema is one of the few mediums which have managed to successfully depict the true reality of society in general and our lives in particular. As like other art forms, it depicts the multiple realties that one is faced with. It explores one of the most discarded yet eternal truths which every individual experiences and that is isolation. Each individual longs for social ties despite belonging to organized societies; it is what each one of us is ultimately reduced to. A Short film is a technical description originally coined in the Indian film industry and used in the North American film industry in the early period of cinema. The description is now used almost interchangeably with short subject. Although the North American definition generally refers to films between 20 and 40 minutes, the definition refers to much shorter films in Europe, Latin America and Australasia. In New Zealand, for instance, the description can be used to describe any film that has duration longer than one minute and shorter than 15 minutes. The North American definition also tends to focus much more on character whereas the European and Australasian forms tend to depend much more on visual drama and plot twists. In this way, the North American form can be understood to be a derivation of the feature film form, usually acting as a platform for aspirant Hollywood directors. Elsewhere, short films tend to work as showcases for cinematographers and commercial directors. (Short Film) A short film manages to tell the same tale as a full length feature film, but in a shorter duration of time. It is characterized by the directors reflection of the existing social, political and economic conditions. A short film narrative is one which can easily be created by people from all walks of life, it has universal applicability. It enables directors functioning on a small budget to tell their stories to the world. The talent in creating a short film lies in communicating the message of the film to the audience in a very limited period of time. The transitions in a short film are of critical importance. What I find intriguing is how any person imbibes from their existing social conditions and produce work which is effectively communicable to most individuals. Another reason to dwell into this topic of research is that many youngsters and amateurs start by making short films and use it as a path to grow. As Daniel Wiernicki states, Short films are often popular as first steps into the film industry among young filmmakers. This is because they are cheaper and easier to make, and also their length makes shorts more likely to be watched by financial backers and others who want some demonstration of a filmmakers ability. Many things can be achieved by creating a short film so are an ideal opportunity to get recognized and get into the industry. (Wiernicki) Through this dissertation, I aim to explore the world of short films in the context of movies which have won the Cannes Short Film Palme dOr (French: Palme dOr du court mà ©trage), which is the highest prize given to a short film at the Cannes Film Festival. These short films are a representation of different cultures, ideologies, people, religion, economic background, and political thoughts and history from across the world that come together on one platform and showcase their art. The cinema is not an art which films life: the cinema is something between art and life. Unlike painting and literature, the cinema both gives to life and takes from it, and I try to render this concept in my films. These expressions were in the form of poetry, literature, songs, plays, dancing, etc. films are one of the latest forms of expression that has been adopted by the people around the world to portray their views on their surroundings, any event, or moment that captivates them and they want to show it to the world. The beauty of the films nowadays is that you can detract from reality and present something beyond the human imagination at the same time one can present the harsh realities of life that some dont know about. Films as a medium of communications can be used to spread ones message or view across the world. History of Cinema (History of Film) The birth of the films happened in 1878, when Eadweard Muybridge recorded a horse running in fast motion using a series of 24 stereoscopic cameras. With the development of technology came of the Silent era. Till the 1920s movies were silent, though at times they were accompanied by musicians, sound effects, or even commentary at times. 1940s to 60s- War and Post War Cinema The wartime saw immense change in the cinema as more focus was given to propaganda and patriotic films. Films like Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and Citizen Cane were pieces of this period. The cold war era brought movies filled with paranoia such as Invading Armies of Evil Aliens and anti- communist movies such as the Manchurian Candidate. The onset of television in the post war era also threatened the cinematic industry as a medium of watching films. During this Period, Asian Cinema specifically saw a golden age. Some of the greatest masterpieces of the Asian cinema were produced during this period. These include works like: Yasujiro Ozus Tokyo Story (1953), Satyajit Rays The Apu Trilogy (1955-1959) and The Music Room (1958), Kenji Mizoguchis Ugetsu (1954) and Sansho the Bailiff (1954), Raj Kapoors Awaara (1951), Mikio Naruses Floating Clouds (1955), Guru Dutts Pyaasa (1957) and Kaagaz Ke Phool (1959), and the Akira Kurosawa films Rashomon (1950), Ikiru (1952), Seven Samurai (1954) and Throne of Blood (1957). 1970s: Post-classical cinema This term is used to describe the period following the decline of the studio system during the 1950s and 1960s and the end of the production code. During the 1970s, filmmakers increasingly depicted explicit sexual content and showed gunfight and battle scenes that included graphic images of bloody deaths. The 1980s were filled with movies releasing with sequels like Star Wars, Jaws, and Indiana Jones. The audience also started to watch movies on their VCR at home during this period. 1990s to present: Contemporary Cinema The 1990s saw the development of the independent cinema with commercial success. Special effects also ruled during this period as it was being heavily used by the successful movies of the period like: Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991) and Titanic (1997). During the 2000s, documentary genre of film making also rose as can be seen with the success of movies such as March of the Penguins, and Fahrenheit 9/11. Increase in the problem of digital distribution due to infringement of copyrights, and piracy also has reached heights during this period. Cinema as a whole during this decade has become more global with foreign-language films gaining popularity in English-speaking markets. Films such as City of Gods (Portugese), Lagaan (Hindi), and the Passion of the Christ (Aramaic). Some have described the prevailing style of the period as postmodern because many contemporary films are apolitical, ahistorical, intertextual, and less tied to the conventions of a single genre or culture. The transnational circulation and genre hybridity of contemporary films is exemplified by the increasing global popularity of non- English speaking cinema. (Film Studies, 2009) Major Genres of Films: Action, Adventure, Comedy, Crime Gangster films, Drama, Epic/ Historical films, Horror, Musical, Science fiction, War (anti- war), Western, and Eastern films. They are broad enough to accommodate practically any film ever made, although film categories can never be precise. By isolating the various elements in a film and categorizing them in genres, it is possible to easily evaluate a film within its genre and allow for meaningful comparisons and some judgments on greatness. Films were not really subjected to genre analysis by film historians until the 1970s. All films have at least one major genre, although there are a number of films that are considered crossbreeds or hybrids with three or four overlapping genre (or sub-genre) types that identify them. (Dirks) History of Short Films Short subject a name initially given to Short Films came into existence in the 1910s when the majority of the feature movies were being made into loner run-time editions. The name short subject is an American film industry term, which was assigned to any film within 20 minutes long or running two reels. Short subject films could be comedy, animated, or live action. One of the best known users of short subject was Laurel and Hardy and Charlie Chaplin. In 1930s came the slowdown of the short subjects, basically produced by Warner Bros and Famous studios that owned their own theatres to showcase the films. By 1995s, the rise of television led to the strangulation of the live action- short and at the same time the fall cartoon short. Since the 1960s, majority of the directors of short films have been special studio projects or independent film makers. Since the 1980s, short film term was being used for short subject. Short film as a term describes the non- commercial film that is much shorter in time length than a feature film/ an analogy that can be drawn for short film to a feature film is that of a novella and a novel. The short filmmakers heavily depend on the short film festivals and art exhibitions to showcase their short films. At the same time, these film makers have more freedom to take up more difficult topics than normal feature films as the risks are lower. Short film making is now a growing as more and more amateurs, students, common man, and enthusiasts are taking this up because of the affordability of the technology to make such films. At the same time one can showcase his work to the world by uploading it on web portals and sharing it with others. It is an area where people are turning to as a hobby, as an art, to achieve their form expressions. (Wiernicki) Festival de Cannes The Festival is an apolitical no-mans-land, a microcosm of what the world would be like if people could contact each other directly and speak the same language. Jean Cocteau Being first large international cultural event after the World War II, the Festival de Cannes opened on 20th September, 1946. The Palme dOr was created in 1955. Palme dOr became the enduring symbol of the Cannes Film Festival, awarded each and every year since to the director of the Best Feature Film of the Official Competition. At present, Festival de Cannes invites film makers from around the world to present their work in one place and exchange cultural experiences. The selections for the awards are done from a nomination of films from all over the world, from different socio-economic backgrounds, different cultures, and different historical backgrounds. Cannes offers an opportunity to determine a particular countrys image of its cinema. Festival de Cannes is a melting pot of global cinema and filmmakers. This is the reason why I have undertaken the study of the award winning short films at festival de Cannes. (Festival History) KNOWLEDGE GAP Looking at the current literature review, we see that there is a knowledge gap regarding the study of Short Films in the contemporary cinema as a communication medium. This subject requires an in-depth analysis and more research to come up with some perspectives in this area. RESEARCH OBJECTIVES To take selected works of Short Films of contemporary cinema, last ten years winner of Cannes Palme dOr du court mà ©trage (1999-2009), and analyse the context and form of Short films. Content of the winners of the Cannes Short Film awards (1999-2009) in context of political, sociological, economical, and historical backgrounds. To study the narrative codes in the films to arrive at a deeper understanding of the short films. RESEARCH METHODOLOGY The Qualitative research methodology is used in this study. The method would involve content analysis (Roland Barthes), text/narrative analysis and semiotic analysis of the movies. The Sample: The Short Film award winners of Palme dOr du court mà ©trage (Cannes Short Film Palme dOr) in Festival de Cannes in the last 10 years (1999-2009). The following Short Films have been selected for the study: Arena Megatron Ver Llover Sniffer Podorozhni Trafic Cracker Bag Eso Utan Bean Cake Anino Why the above Sample? The above following sample has been chosen for the reason being that the Festival de Cannes (le Festival de Cannes), founded in 1946, is one of the worlds oldest, finest and most prestigious film festivals which has a very good representation of directors from across the world from different cultural, political, historical, religious, economical, and sociological backgrounds. This provides us with a variety of content for our study. The above movies are selected also on the basis of them being a part of contemporary cinema. How to Study Short Films Some of the salient points/ questions that will be used to do this study of short films are as follows: Who is telling the story? Why is it being told? Does it appear to have a purpose? (media agencies, authorial voice, writers and auteurs, marketing, economics, ideology) How is it experienced? Who consumes it, where and in what way? (readers and media audiences- private and public experience, narrative structures) How is it made? (film technology, publishing and episodic publishing-the differences they make to the production process as well as to the finished product) How does it construct meaning? (film language and written language-expectations of audiences and readers, codes and conventions, narrative structures) How does it represent its subject- especially with reference to period? EXPECTED CONTRIBUTION Given that the art of making Short Films is on the upward trend it is necessary to analyze the current trends, narratives, and the context of the Short Films genre in our contemporary cinema. We have enough knowledge on feature length movies but we lack information on the Short Films of our age. The study of this medium is important as Short films are a highly effective medium of communication and will gain importance going forward. As more and more people are turning towards Short Film making due to accessibility to technology, it is one field that needs attention in our world of cinema. A study of its content will give us a better understanding of the Short Films and world around us through their camera scope is imperative.

Atrocities in Staffords Traveling Through the Dark Essay -- Traveling

Atrocities in Stafford's Traveling Through the Dark Is a drive just a drive, or is it a metaphor that imparts appreciation for life's fragility while simultaneously lamenting man's inability to appropriately confront, or understand, death? William Stafford's "Traveling Through the Dark" illustrates the mechanisms by which seemingly mundane events become probes into the mystery and ambiguity of the human condition. The poem's situation is simple, a lone traveler driving along a desolate canyon road spots a felled deer; the traveler, desiring neither to hit the deer, nor by swerving to avoid it, hurtle his car over the canyon precipice, stops his vehicle and proceeds to push the fallen animal over the canyon face, into the river below. As the driver struggles to displace the cold, stiff deer corpse he senses warmth emanating from its abdomen, it's an unborn fawn. Realizing that life remains in the body he had assumed dead, the traveler hesitates. Finally, he pushes the deer, one dead and the other not yet alive, off the road and into the chasm. While the poem's situation is simple, its theme is not. Stafford appears to be intimating that life is precious and fragile; however, nothing so clearly discloses these attributes of life as confrontation with death. Furthermore, the very confrontations that engender appreciation of life's delicacies force action-all to frequently callous action. Hence, the poem's tone contains elements of remorse as well as impassivity. The traveler's detached description of the mother, "...a doe, a recent killing; / she had stiffened already, almost cold" (6-7), and the wistful detail with which he depicts her unborn offspring, "...her fawn lay there waiting... ...iver. Because the deer's killer was a man behind the wheel of an automobile the traveler shares some relation with him. The traveler's anguish, his "bleeding", is the realization that he is implicated in the murder of the deer through his association to the actual killer. If expanded further, this metaphor can be applied to the entire human experience. All humanity is like a traveler driving through the dark. At varying junctions in our experiences we are, inevitably, both the discoverers and perpetrators of atrocities; the confusion surrounding our responses to theses junctions is the darkness we travel through. Stafford ends the poem after the traveler pushes the deer into the canyon's depths. We don't need to be told he returns to his car and drives on, we know it intrinsically, it's what each of us would have done, what each of us must do.

(Raytheon Company, fundinginguniverse.com) After acquiring a patent for the idea and because an Indian company already had rights to the name American Appliance Company, Raytheon Manufacturing Company was born. (Raytheon Company, fundinginguniverse.com) The consumer demand for electronics was booming and the new radio-receiver power supply (gaseous rectifier), which immediately allow radios to be in every household for pennies of what it cost to continuously replace batteries. (History, Raytheon.com) As the competition for radio-receiving tubes began to intensify Raytheon, mainly Laurence K, Marshall, saw the need to diversify. (Raytheon Company, fundinginguniverse.com) Raytheon’s philosophy soon became to acquire companies that could take Raytheon to new heights in the competitive electronics market and to reinvest profits back into the company for research and to development and improve products. They acquired Acme-Delta Company in1933 a producer of transformers, power equipment, and electronic auto parts and Raytheon soon became â€Å"the world’s largest vacuum tube manufacturing companies†. In 1947 Raytheon demonstrated the first microwave, but it was their acquisition in 1965 of Amana Refrigeration, Inc, a manufacturer of refrigerators and air conditioners that made the microwave oven actually affordable and 1967, â€Å"Raytheon introduced the first countertop, domestic 100-volt microwave oven†. Last but not the least, is our loving and forgiving heavenly Father for giving us knowledge, wisdom and a lot of things we need to make for the completion Of this research possible. Introduction Most students nowadays prefer to do things in haste and in the easiest way, not thinking the consequences they could bring. During schooldays, students prefer to use sling bags instead of using backpacks. That is why they come to the point that they demand a locker, so they can secure their valuables at school.Through this, students would either gain or lose trust to others when leaving their things in their own lockers, not knowing what might happen when they are not around. On the other hand, they would also develop a sense of responsibility in maintaining the cleanliness and security of their own gadgets and school paraphernalia entrusted to them. Lockers are designed for the secur ity of valuable things they often bring at school. Lockers in International Christian School of Dave [ICED] are being criticized by both students and teachers not knowing that this facility could change meson's perspective.Statement of the Problem The main purpose of this research is to help the students know the significance of a simple storage box they call as locker. This one significant locker can be the source of mode in their studies. The following questions must be answered after conducting the research: 1 . Why locker is considered important? 2. What are the suggestions or demands for the improvement of lockers? Objectives of the Research TO determine the importance Of lockers for students To know the students' opinion regarding the improvement of lockers Significance of the ResearchThis research will help the problem of students through high percentage of having back and neck pains. In addition, this will also reduce the chances of students leaving their learning tools at h ome. Scopes and Limitations This research focuses on the gathered data based from the answers of all students in International Christian School of Dave who use lockers. This also focuses on the significance of locker and why it is considered as an important matter to be discussed. Definition of Terms 1 . Locker – normally quite narrow, of varying heights and tier arrangements.It is usually equipped with a lock. It is usually intended for the short or long term private use of individuals for storing clothing or other personal items 2. Self storage – an industry in which storage space such as room or locker is rented to tenants, usually on a short-term basis Review of Related Literature Lockers are usually a small storage component customarily shaped as a rectangle and is metal, which simply designed for leaving stuffs with security. Usually, it's a single tier or two tiers. Every locker is never without its padlock or lock combinations.Lockers are usually placed besides the hallway and are found together with the other lockers in the row. Crisp, 2011) In the busy schedule of students due to their projects, assignments, or seat works, lockers are absolutely a necessity for most of them. It is also a very good place to stock valuable stuffs (mostly cellular phones, gadgets, lunches, extra money, emergency shirts, and other school stuffs) because they can get the privacy and security they want depending on how they use it and how they organize it.Most schools usually managed to set the number of lockers depending on the total student population they are expecting or they need, and is usually more affordable depending on its size but most likely pending on the school's finance management. (Proponents, 2013) Some students agreed that, locker is important and provided some known benefits in having them. However, the opposing party said locker is not necessary to have and provided its disadvantages.Here some of those explanations given: Disadvantages of Having a Locker Cannot refer on the Books at home while it's left on the locker Leaving books on the school locker is not a very good thing to do. Students won't be able to refer on their books for assignments and obviously wont be able to study some lessons ahead of time, which most likely causes them to ratiocinate. (Chelsea, 2007) Get in the crowd during dismissal time Instead of going directly to their classrooms or going straight home, they still need to go to their locker with the other students who are also busy with their lockers or just people talking in the hallway.This might also cause students or even teachers from being late to their classes. (Chelsea, 2007) Problems with the Locks Students always encounter this kind of issue because of misplacing their keys or forgetting their password combinations. This would be a pain in the neck especially when your lock is very hard to be pick or jam. Chelsea, 2007) Foods Left behind will Spoil Some students still left their lunch boxes (if they bring one) in their lockers. They find it disturbing or think it might be a bother if they bring it around all day.Bad thing is there's a possibility they might left it Or forgot about it which causes the food to spoil and might create mold and smells in the hallway especially leftovers. (Chelsea, 2007) Can be Stored for some Illegal Objects Teenagers these days, especially boys, tend to think that being a goon makes them look cooler. And about most of them brings deadly or prohibited paeans or objects in school. These objects includes: guns, knife, mini tool kit, illegal drugs, pornography materials, and other things related to it.In United States, the National Education Association (NEE) is performing locker searches every weekend to ensure the safeness of all the students and school staffs. It was to make sure everything in the locker is not harmful or not against the rules and regulations of NEE and the school itself. However, in Philippines, there are no known po licies or regulation about things to be considered in having a locker. (Cornell, 2013) Advantages in Having a Locker Doesn't need to carry heavy bags Children and teenagers should not carry backpacks which weigh about more than 15% of their respective body weights.It can affect the movement of our spines and may cause musculoskeletal problems that the books students carry are getting thicker which means getting heavier. In this students must have. (Patella, 2013) Won't leave the books at home The students have a locker does not mean they do not need to bring their books at home. It is much better to bring those books you just really need so you will just have lighter things to carry in the next school day. Also, in leaving hose others books at your locker, at least would not forgot to bring your book when there are surprise activities, readings or seawater. Patella, 2013) Safe Storage Everything you have on your locker is only safe when you protected it with a durable lock. Lockers are the only known safest place in where the students can put their things when they are in school, especially when bringing things such as musical instruments, props, and other equipment you really need. Though, this would only work on bigger lockers. Which means the school should consider the size of the lockers basing on the programs and different lubes which needed some individual equipment. Patella, 2013) Developing Responsibilities Everything a student put in his/her locker is all the students' responsibility, on how to keep the lockers safe and how to maintain it. By having a locker, a student will be able to develop his/her responsibilities in things such as organizing, memorizing the password combination or keeping in-mind in bringing the key, and being a able to manage him/herself in. This teaches students about social responsibility and etiquette. (Spineless, 2013) Time Management Managing time is Very important especially in the student's education.One just manage time, never waste it, and make plans for something that is relevant to the future. Just like in having a locker, the students need to manage their time on taking and putting books back in forth in their lockers after every class or breaks. This will prevent them from being late. (Spineless, 2013) Heavy Bags Children and teenagers are still in the developing stage of their body. It is advisable that if possible, only 15% percent of our body should be the limit of the things we carry. Counterpart would cause injuries to the body. These injuries include back pains, neck pains, shoulder strain, and general exhaustion.Patella, 201 3) Larger Lockers Most students in every institution demand a larger locker in which the things they mostly use in school wouldn't need an extra space in their classroom. This would let them bring heavy or large necessary things in school. This would also let them have personal things in their locker too. However, this would take up space in school on which is only l imited. Also, smaller locker sizes are intended to limit the students from being Irresponsible for their lockers. (Kevin, 201 1) Locker Searches Teenagers these days can be very violent. We never know that they have been bringing illegal items to their schools.There are already guilty students that have been found bringing illegal items at school such as guns, illegal drugs, and other deadly weapons; which merely means that this Locker Search policy is very helpful and needed in every school. Locker Searches is scheduled every month in school, assigned persons were tasked to perform an investigation in each lockers in a school and makes sure there are no illegal things inside it. Policy 1005 â€Å"School Locker Use and Locker Searches† which is signed last November 20, 2004 and first implemented by the Yukon Education Public School Branch and now spreading across the world.It is not, forever, yet implemented in the Philippines and there is also no known policy or law against freedom use of lockers. Is there anything you want to sug gest for the improvement of the lockers?Bigger locker that fit with its price- Affordable price – Bigger lockers 8. What is your main purpose of having a locker? Reduce weight Of baggage Safe storage – personal space Interpretation of Data 1. For you, what is the advantage of having a locker? Based from the survey conducted, 12% or 6 out of 50 persons believe that an advantage in using a locker is being able to organize the personal space with their own stuffs. 24% or 12 out of 50 persons believe that another advantage in using a locker is that their stuffs would not be left at home and would come in handy when needed during classes.A 64% or 32 out of 50 persons, which is the majority of the students who were surveyed, believe that using a locker would not let their body suffer from carrying lots of stuffs which may cause ace and neck pains. Based from the survey conducted, 6% or 3 out of 50 persons believe that a disadvantage in using a locker is that it provides a pl ace in keeping concealed weapons and other illegal materials. 28% or 14 out of 50 persons believe that another disadvantage in using a locker is the tendency that people can break into the lockers and steal their stuffs.A 66% or 33 out of 50 persons, which is the majority of the students who were surveyed, doubt to have a locker for it can be a cause for students not to be able to study because of the tendency that their books would be left inside the locker. 3. What stuff do you generally put in your locker? Based from the survey conducted, 4% or 2 out of 50 persons put clothes inside their lockers. On the other hand, 96% or 48 out of 50 persons put books inside their lockers so that they may lessen their baggage when going to school.Based from the survey conducted, 40% or 20 out of 50 persons feel that their things in the locker are not secured since some of the lockers do not have locks. On the contrary, 60% or 30 out of 50 persons believe that the things in their locker are abso lutely secured. Based from the survey conducted, 24% or 12 out of 50 persons believe that he locker's price just fits its size. On the other hand, 76% or 38 out of 50 persons believe that the locker's price does not fit its size because the price is totally expensive, but the lockers space is too small.Based from the survey conducted, 24% or 12 out of 50 persons find the lockers affordable while 76% or 38 out of 50 persons find the lockers expensive to be used for only one school year. Based from the survey conducted, 6% or 3 out of 50 persons want to have bigger lockers because they want to have single or double tier lockers. 34% or 17 out of 50 persons want to have lockers with affordable price. Lastly, 60% or 0 out of 50 persons want to have both bigger and affordable lockers. 8. What is your main purpose of having a locker?Based from the survey conducted, 12% or 6 out of 50 persons wanted to have a locker for personal space which is used to keep all their materials needed at sch ool. 28% or 14 out of 50 persons wanted to have a locker for safe storage. A 60% or 30 out of 50 person, which is the majority of the students who were surveyed, wanted to have a locker to reduce the weight of baggage that may cause misalignments of bones, back and neck pains. Conclusion Most of the students in ICED think that locker is absolutely important because t provides personal space for each student.In addition, it would lessen back and neck pains caused by carrying heavy baggage. However, the students suggest that changes should be pertaining to the lockers. First, the students demand for a bigger locker so that they would be able to put things such as musical instruments, props and sports equipments in it. Second, the students demand for much affordable price that fit with the locker's size which means the price should be acceptable with its own size. Third, the students demand that each locker should have a lock so that they would be able to use their lockers for the enti re school year.
